Celebrating Our Property Management Awards: Both State & National

Ever since Perth Property Management (PPM) first opened its doors to local property owners in 2014, our team have aspired to be the leading property management agency in Perth.

Fast forward to today, and we are honoured to have received several property management awards, both at state and national levels, positioning PPM at the very forefront of the industry – and we couldn’t be prouder!

In this article, we take a look at the previous awards we’ve acquired over the years, how these accolades drive us to constantly develop, improve and refine our operations, and most importantly, how these award titles translate into exceptional property management service for our valued clients.

REIWA Property Management Awards

The Real Estate Institute Of Western Australia (REIWA) Awards For Excellence are the pre-eminent property industry awards in Western Australia, which recognise service providers who are operating at the highest level in the state.

Throughout the years, PPM has taken home numerous REIWA property management awards in service delivery and team performance, solidifying our commitment to excellence. Below is a list of the property management awards we’ve received at the Real Estate Institute Of Western Australia (REIWA) Awards For Excellence:

  • 2022 Residential Property Manager Of The Year (Winner)

  • 2021 Residential Property Manager Of The Year (Winner)

  • 2019 Residential Property Manager Of The Year (Winner)

  • 2019 Residential Property Management Team Of The Year (Winner)

  • 2016 REIWA Achievement Award (Winner)

REIA Property Management Awards

All state-based winners are shortlisted for the Real Estate Institute Of Australia (REIA) Awards For Excellence, which showcase the nation’s top performers by category within Australia’s highly competitive real estate industry.

From continued success at the REIWA Excellence Awards, PPM has represented Western Australia on numerous occasions at the Real Estate Institute Of Australia (REIA) National Awards For Excellence.

In 2023, our Director (Kristy Copping) was named Residential Property Manager of the Year at the 2023 REIA National Awards for Excellence, taking home the nation's most prestigious property management honour and placing PPM firmly at the forefront of Australia's property industry.

As well as taking home the honour of the nation's leading property manager, PPM have also been shortlisted as national finalists in the following categories:

  • 2023 Residential Property Manager Of The Year (Winner)

2019: A Night To Remember At The REIWA Awards

The honour of winning an award doesn’t come around too often, so when we took home two awards on the same evening at the 2019 REIWA Awards For Excellence, we were absolutely delighted, to say the least!

Held at Crown Casino in September 2019, the Perth Property Management team were in full attendance with cause for celebration when PPM was read out as the winners for 2019 Residential Property Management Team Of The Year – a title we have always been extremely proud of due to it reflecting the team’s expertise, dedication and hard work.

Later on in the evening, PPM again saw its name in lights, as our Principal, Kristy Copping, was awarded the honourable title of 2019 Residential Property Manager Of The Year. It was a deserving title for Kristy who works tirelessly across every single one of our managements, and something to celebrate as the prestigious accolade recognised Kristy as being the state’s leading property manager.

2021: Another Accolade For Our Principal

After celebrating the esteemed title of Western Australia’s top Property Manager, our beloved Principal, Kristy Copping, was again in the winners’ list at the 2021 REIWA Awards For Excellence.

Held at Crown Perth on 21 May 2021, the 400-person crowd came together to honour the brightest talent within Western Australia’s real estate professionals. It was another night to celebrate for the PPM team as Kristy was awarded the title of Residential Property Manager Of The Year for the second time.

It had been a tough year for property managers in 2021, with market uncertainty, dynamic supply and demand, and an ever-changing landscape all presenting difficulties for investors seeking optimal returns. In turn, this raised the bar of expectations with property management service, making the award particularly special for Kristy given the challenging year.

Kristy’s reaction to the award on the night was as follows;

“It’s been a challenging year for property managers which is what makes this award so special. To be recognised as WA’s leading Property Manager, for the second time, is both a thrill and an honour and I’m absolutely delighted. I owe a huge debt of gratitude to my team and clients, as their continued support and loyalty have made this award possible.”

2022: Kristy’s Third Property Management Award In Four Years

It’s often a rarity to see the principal of a property management agency working closely with property managers, clients and tenants, howeve,r this is something we pride ourselves on here at Perth Property Management.

Our Principal, Kristy, not only manages her own portfolio but is also actively involved in working across every management we have on the books, bringing her expertise as WA’s leading property manager, to the table for each client.

When the team attended the 2022 REIWA Awards For Excellence, we were delighted to be amongst the finalists once again, however, once Kristy’s name was read out as the 2022 Residential Property Manager Of The Year for the third time in four years, we were so proud!

Recognised once again as the state’s top property manager, Kristy solidified her name at the forefront of the property management industry both on a state and national level, as outlined in this article from The Real Estate Conversation.

After success in 2019, 2021 and again in 2022, Kristy is now motivated to continue on this legacy by constantly developing and striving for improvement in a highly competitive market.

We explored Kristy’s reaction to the awards, her future plans, and how the award has inspired her to push for new heights, in our article Meet Kristy: The Face Behind Your Property.

Three Times in Four Years: The PPM Team With Kristy at the 2022 REIWA Awards

2023 – Kristy Becomes Australia's Top Property Manager!

It was a night to remember at the 2023 Real Estate Institute Of Australia National Awards For Excellence, as PPM Director, Kristy Copping, took out the prestigious national award for Residential Property Manager Of The Year. Whilst Kristy had been recognised for the same time on three separate occasions by the Western Australia Institue (REIWA) in 2022, 2021 and 2019, it was the first time Kristy had received the accolade at the national awards.

In a recent interview with REIWA, Kristy attributed the award to her dedicated, experienced and driven team of property managers, as well as PPM's established relationships that are consistently maintained with owners and tenants.

This incredible achievement has propelled the agency into new heights, driving and motivating both the team and Kristy towards new goals and milestones for clients. Having been recognised as property management leaders throughout the nation, it helps to solidify and reaffirm the service levels, office culture and quality standards upheld at Perth Property Management, which are now officially the best in the nation!

"It's difficult to express how proud I am of the team and our agency's success, and to be recognised on a national level is incredibly humbling. I am over the moon with our national accolade and attribute much of the success to our loyal clients and dedicated team who I believe are truly the best in Australia."

How Our Property Management Awards Benefit Our Clients

In a competitive environment like property management, awards can be an excellent way of providing independent endorsement for the services provided by an organisation or individual, or both. Awards, along with positive reviews and testimonials, can help you filter out the ones that can only talk the talk, and identify the ones who can also walk the walk.

Here at Perth Property Management, each of our property management awards are a testament to the exceptional service we deliver for our clients on a daily basis, and whilst we aren’t motivated by awards or accolades, they do help in keeping us accountable for our dedication toward excellence, whilst serving as a reminder that we’re on the right track.

Having Western Australia’s top property manager (2019, 2021 and 2022) at the helm of the agency is an exclusive benefit for property owners, who all enjoy innovative, creative and driven service from an agency that prides itself as the best in the West.

Some additional benefits to clients also include:

Reassurance: Our owners are guaranteed only the very best service after seeing PPM recognised as leaders in their industry. In turn, this translates into premium service, with strong rental returns, effective communication and proactive strategies which offer stress-free management for our owners who feel confident we have their property firmly at the top of our priorities.

Consistent service: Property owners will be well aware of the industry risks of lazy property managers, poor communication and lacking creativity, which is why our clients appreciate our exceptional levels of service which translate into unrivalled quality and reliability. Our modern strategies for leasing properties to quality tenants, our exceptional communication channels, and innovative pricing models give our clients the best chance of maximising their rental returns and getting the most out of their property.

Motivation for excellence: Having introduced innovative and modern systems, state-of-the-art software, regular training and upskilling, with WA’s leading property manager overseeing everything, we have the formula to strive for new heights and goals, which is something we are motivated to do not only for our clients, but also for our team.

Effective Decision making: In recent years we’ve seen some of the lowest vacancy rates in quite some time, followed by rising interest rates, unprecedented rental property demand and pandemic outbreaks all causing market uncertainty. Accordingly, it’s never been more important to align your property with an experienced team and thanks to our award-winning team, we have guided our clients through the unchartered waters with confidence and peace of mind that they’re property is in good hands - in fact the best hands in WA!

We cover more client benefits in our article 6 Things to Look For in a Property Manager which also showcases a handy checklist if you’re looking to hire a new Property Manager to lease your property.
